Plastic Practice Sheets

From Annette Barnes, a kindergarten and DLL teacher at Winter Gardens Elementary School in Los Angeles, California:

"I use top-loading plastic sheet protectors and dry erase markers in my literacy centers. Instead of making copies for whole class sets, I make a few skills practice sheets and place them in plastic sleeves for use in my centers. I teach the students how to care for the markers and replace the caps. I provide enough markers and erasers so there is one for every child. I've found the plastic standard weight sheets are very durable and erase better than laminated sheets. A good source for school type fonts can be found at Fonts4teachers.com."
